Bantayan Island, Philippines, Travels

Travels: The Virgin Island

My grade school friend Tanya moved back from the US to Bantayan Island, this is main reason why we went to Banyan Island.

They picked us up with a rented motorized boat.    With Sherwin, her boyfriend, two kids and 4 other adopted kids, off we went to the Virgin Island.

Virgin Island is a very small island with fine white sand beach.  When in Bantayan Island, this spot is a must see for people who loves to snorkel, free dive or scuba dive!  With A&L and the other kids around, our little man made some unforgettable memories on this small island.  The little man get to jump off the boat in the middle of the ocean and swim like a dolphin with his friends.

Cottages are available upon rental at the Virgin Island.  There are no restaurants here, so I suggest you either ask the boatman to prepare a scrumptious meal, or look for tours.  They also have a grill that you can use.  I believe you have to bring the coal yourself though.  Our friends hospitably and generously settled everything for us so we did not have to worry about anything at all.  We enjoyed some delicious ham and cheese sandwiches prepared by them, freshly grilled pork belly, fresh drinks and some snacks.

Moments after lunch, the kids went of diving the cliff of the island.  I think this was the best part of my little man’s day.  I am glad he gets to be a kid once in a while and not worry about school and life in general.

I would surely want to come in here again and be able to swim decently without having to fear of drowning next time!
